L'association Franco-Américaine s'est réunie le 27 Juin 2004 pour célébrer l'Independence Day. Devant le monument de l'amitié Franco-Américaine et en présence du Maire de Crépy et des représentants de l'autorité militaire, le Président Bernard Croza a rappelé en cette année du 60ème anniversaire du Débarquement de Normandie que les deux peuples ne sont pas seulement alliés et amis, mais également unis par une véritable fraternité.

The Franco-American association gathered on June 27th 2004 to celebrate the Independence Day. In front of the monument of the Franco-American friendship and in presence of the Mayor of Crepy and of the representatives of the military authorities, the President Bernard Croza reminded, on this year of the 60th anniversary of the Normandy landing, that the two peoples are not only allied and friends, but also united by a true brotherhood.

Plusieurs Américains étaient venus tout spécialement pour assister à cette cérémonie.

Après la cérémonie, au cours du vin d'honneur offert par la municipalité de Crépy, le Président d'honneur Daniel Buret a offert à l'association Américaine du 38th Bomb Wing représentée par Glen Brady un tableau représentant le monument et il a lui-même reçu la médaille de la Ville de Crépy.
Les membres de l'Association et leurs invités se sont ensuite rendus sur l'ancienne Base pour leur traditionnel banquet.

After the ceremony, during a drink offered by the town counsel of Crepy, the Honorary President offered to the American association of the 38th Bomb Wing represented by Glen Brady a painting of the monument and himself received the medal of the City of Crepy.
The members of the Association and their guests then went to the old Base for their traditional banquet.
